Think your bridal gown is the most important garment you?ll need for your wedding?? Think again! Your shoes could make or break your day. When your feet hurt, it shows on your face, and you only want smiles on your wedding day.

Top Wedding Sites, Inc. recently sat down and spoke to Lori Dunn, Bridal Stylist and wedding attire expert. Here?s Lori?s professional shoe selection advice.

Brides spend a lot of money on their dress, their tiara etc., and then choose to save money on the shoes. Why do you recommend they look for a quality, well made shoe instead of skimping? And how do they recognize quality?

? A quality shoe generally is going to have a great fit, so it's going to be comfortable. Sacrificing quality for a bit of cash could very well end up making your wedding day (and the days following) painful!? Don't dismiss the importance of a quality shoe!

? You get a good, comfortable fit from a well-made shoe because it's constructed from fine leather and fabrics. Cheap materials don't feel good on your feet the moment you put them on, and it's not going to get any better as the day goes on. You're probably going to have to pay more for comfort, but remember: you're going to be on your feet all day.

? Designer and name brands normally represent quality - like Vera Wang and Stuart Weitzman.? The materials are also important; look for things like leather soles, silk, "lined in leather", embroidery or Swarovski crystals.? These high-end materials and embellishments generally mean quality.

? You may be surprised when you try on a quality, designer shoe - I find a shoe with an extremely high heel or pointy toe can be quite comfortable because of its superior construction.

? I always say, ?Great shoes are like nice lingerie, even though no one sees it, you still feel beautiful when you wear it.?

Lori?s Shoe Smarts!

1. Shoes with a pointed toe tend to run a little smaller.? If you tend to be in-between sizes, it's a good idea to chose the bigger size and put a pad in the ball of the shoe or heel if you have to.

2. Wear shoe pads to cushion your feet for the long day.

3. A ?strappy? sandal or sling back tends to slip. A long narrow adhesive shoe pad stuck to the strap can solve the problem. Using wig tape works great too!

4. Consider high quality silk dyeable shoes that will hold up through several dye processes so you can get more wear from your shoes after the wedding.? A dyeable silk shoe of good quality can normally be dyed up to 4-6 times.

5. Think about getting two pairs of shoes for your wedding day. You may fall in love with the 4-inch heel, but after the ceremony and formal pictures, you may be ready to change into a lower heel for dancing.

6. If you have a simple dress, have fun with your shoes.? Choose a pair with crystal or pearl embellishments, try a touch of color; Pale blue, for your something blue perhaps.? However, make sure the shoes complement the dress and match the look of your wedding attire.

Shopping online makes the wedding planning process a breeze but some brides might be afraid to buy wedding shoes online for fear they won't fit or won't be what they expected. What advice do you have for bride's who are considering buying their wedding shoes from an internet shop?
discount wedding dress,

? Make sure to start your shoe shopping 2 to 3 months before you actually need them for your dress fitting so you avoid paying rush handling and shipping fees. Do not be afraid to order shoes online!? Select stores with contact information readily available so you can call and ask questions, ex: if a shoe runs narrow, big, etc.

? Some online stores charge a restocking fee or specify exchange on certain shoes, so read the returns policy before you buy.? Some brides just don't want to deal with that, but a lot of brides say it's a good tradeoff.? They like shopping online for the large selection that they can't come close to getting in their hometown.

So many brides I meet and speak with each day are frustrated, some even freaking out as their wedding day draws near.

Sound familiar?

Here's what's usually going on behind the scenes: You've found the dress of your dreams, but you can't decide on how to accessorize it. Everyone has an opinion-and everyone is willing to share. Such well-intentioned advice can drive you crazy! No one teaches courses in "Bridal Accessories 101," so it's hard to rely on Mom's or your best friend's judgments -- especially when no one agrees. No wonder the months leading up to the big day are turning you into a chain-smoking, nail-biting wreck! It's the most important day of your life -- the day all eyes will be trained on you as you walk down the aisle -- and you're afraid to trust your instincts and inner voice.

That's where I come in -- and it's a role I adore. I watch trends and work as part counselor, part stylist to help each bride-to-be find just the right look. My goal? To make sure your inner glow shines through.

Here are some tips to help you stay sane and accessorize with flair.

Set the Stage
Think of your gown as a stage, and all of the accessories you select are the actors and scenery that create a smash hit. You chose your gown because it called out your name and represents who you are. Regardless of whether its style is vintage, traditional, modern or eclectic, it serves as the backdrop for the jewelry and accessories you buy.

Rule Number One
Follow your gown's motif. If, for example, your dress is adorned with radiant crystals, select jewelry with matching accents. The same goes for gowns with beading or pearls.

Color is also critical.

With taupe and gold embroidery a popular feature on this season's gowns, opt for necklaces and earrings set in glittering gold.

Shine the Spotlight Jewelry adds sparkle and pizzazz -- the much-needed "wow" factor. You'll use it to draw attention to your best features: eyes, cheekbones, d?colletage, neck, hair. You know which features your fianc? swoons over. Accent your gown by playing up these areas with the right jewels.

Before deciding on earrings, talk to your hairstylist about how you'll wear your hair. Bring your dress to the salon several months before the wedding so the two of you can come up with a plan. This will give you time to grow out your layers or bangs, if necessary.

Once your hair plan is in place, it's time to shop. If you're wearing a traditional updo--a chignon, French twist, Juliet knot or similar style--drop earrings add drama. For short hair, chic pearl or cubic zirconia studs or buttons are extremely popular. And if your long, loose-flowing tresses will be accompanied by drop-dead-gorgeous chandelier earrings, don't overpower them with a necklace. Less is definitely more! If your dress is backless, a lariat necklace that cascades down your spine is a breathtaking accessory, and earrings should be subtle.

Make sure your headpiece matches your jewelry. A tiara composed of solid rhinestones will overpower delicate pearl jewels. And if you've chosen modern jewelry dripping with cubic zirconia, a pearl headband will be too coy and traditional.

Most Importantly
Most importantly, remember that you wear your jewelry and headpiece -- they don't wear you. Choose pieces that are perfectly suited to your gown and personality. If you've never been a fan of pearls, your wedding day isn't the time to flaunt them. You're creating a pleasing package, so make sure everything works together.

All brides want to be beautiful on their wedding day, and often it is easy for them to picture themselves in a wedding gown. But once something is placed upon the head, the whole perception of self-image is altered. A well-designed veil will accent or de-emphasize certain facial or body features if chosen thoughtfully, as well as match the bride?s personality, reflect the gown?s features, and conform to the formality of the wedding and reception.

The headpiece should be ornate enough for the gown and not look like an afterthought. It is a very condensed area and therefore may be more heavily beaded than the gown. Many brides have been misinformed and feel that if their gown very ornate they should opt for a very small, simple, and inexpensive headpiece, when they should be concerned that the overall effect is a balanced one. The area framing the face is not a very good area to skimp on since it is the most viewed area of the bride both in person and in photography.

If it is possible to find or design a headpiece with some of the gown?s prominent features a finished look will result. Be sure to use the same or very similar types of materials in your headpiece. It is ok, however, if the pattern itself varies. If in doubt, stick to an entirely beaded or floral headpiece to avoid conflict.

The wedding veil is common among different traditional weddings. It may differ from one wedding to another, but the wedding veil is present in traditional weddings.
designer wedding dress

One of the origins of the wedding veil is said to date back centuries ago when the groom and his friends would throw a blanket over the bride and capture her. In another origin, the veil was used to keep the bride?s face from being seen before the ceremony. This is usually done in arranged marriages. And perhaps the most popular origin and reason for wearing the wedding veil was to protect the bride from evil spirits.

The Budget Beautiful Carnation
Like I’ve said before, I’ve changed my tune about carnations. I used to think of them as filler flowers, but I’ve seen more and more examples of how they can really be beautiful. Not to mention budget friendly.

Here are some great examples of carnations, that thanks to Twitter, I recently saw on Project Wedding. Carnations look best tightly bunched. And I think monochromatic is best. At 55 cents a stem wholesale, they really can’t be beat.
